Mr. Hamid Tahmasi, the Transport Minister accompanying with a mixed board of delegations, opened a passenger terminal and started the process of number plate installation on transportation vehicles, during an official trip to Herat province.

During the trip, Mr. Tahmasi met with several Herat province authorities including Mr. Noori, the Acting Governor of Herat province and Mr. Amarkhel, Herat's Chief of Police and asked their cooperation on overseeing transport challenges and actualizing the reform and development programs of MOT.
The new passenger terminal opened by the Minister of Transport in order to bring more facilitation and to provide better public transportation services. Mr. Tahmasi visited the areas in different locations in border ports which are allocated to construct the new transportation terminals. Also, in the presence of Minister of Transport, to bring order and standardize the transportation vehicles activities and to prevent tax fraud, the number plate installation process of transportation vehicles started in cooperation with related organizations.
