Mr. Mohammad Hamid Tahmasi, the Transport Minister by the presence of local authorities, opened a passenger Terminal in Herat province in order to bring transportation order and to provide better services.

Mr. Mohammad Hamid Tahmasi, the Minister of Transport, mentioned the providing of standard transportation services and facilitation for public as the main working priorities of the Transport Ministry and he asked from transportation company owners to standardize their vehicles considering the transport law and to maintain safety for passengers and cargos.

Welcoming the plans and programs of Ministry of Transport to provide transportation services and facilitation, local authorities and elders shared their comments in inauguration program. 

Mr. Tahmasi, the Transport Minister accompanying with local authorities, officially started the process of number plate installation on cargo truck and asked all transportation company and vehicle owners to install the plate number in the specific area of truck which originally allocated for by manufacturers and he emphasized that there will be legal prosecution for offenders of mentioned rule.

It’s worth mentioning that the installation of plate numbers on specific originally area of the trucks would bring transportation order and discipline and prevent tax fraud and consequently it will increase government revenues.
